Certifications

ATS has performed over 300,000 construction inspections throughout central Texas. Our home energy professionals are experts in residential building inspection and home energy conservation. And they’re tested by the nation's leading building science, auditing and green building programs. We are qualified.

We are a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) Rater.

A RESNET-certified auditor, or HERS Rater, has passed a two-hour, 50-question written exam with a score of 80% or better. RESNET qualified auditors have performed two ratings supervised by a RESNET training provider, and three more "probationary" ratings within 1 year of passing the written exam. ALL ratings done by a HERS Rater are submitted to a RESNET affiliate for quality control and approval. According to RESNET's National Energy Audit Standard (PDF), in addition to evaluating a home's energy consumption, an auditor should inspect—and, if a health hazard is detected, repair— combustion appliances. A HERS Rater is trained to do both home energy audits (useful for existing homes) and home energy ratings (more helpful for new homes).

We are an Energy Star Partner.

Home Performance with Energy Star is a subsidiary of the EPA's Energy Star program. The Home Performance Program is focused exclusively on upgrading the energy efficiency of existing homes. The program operates through a system of regional partners. Energy Star Homes (which is a label for new buildings), is a separate certification of energy efficient standards met during construction. ATS Energy does both, and we’re proud to partner with ENERGY STAR.

We are LEED Certified

LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system,  providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
